Flat lapping is a mechanical operation aimed at improving the flatness and the surface appearance of a piece by removing material, by means of a series of mechanical operations: milling, turning, grinding, EDM.

Flat lapping is characterized by the use of an abrasive placed on a support.

These machines have the following characteristics:

  • Oversized frame: for greater resistance even to stronger stresses
  • Full cast iron plate holder: for greater stability of lapping plates
  • pneumatic pressure system (optional): for lapping the toughest materials; avoid having to handle the heaviest parts
